HELLO

My name is Jo and I’m an illustrator based in New Zealand.

I’ve had lots of jobs over the years including being a graphic designer but eventually decided to do what I always loved - drawing. I mainly use watercolour, ink and pencil, partly due to its portability but also because having spent many years in front of a computer screen, it’s a joy to work without one.

The Terrakeet is the first picture book I’ve illustrated. It’s published by Walker Books and Candlewick Press and written by my talented school friend Jo Van Der Borgh. We have another picture book coming out in 2026 :)
